소개
용제 기반 접착제는 폴리머 또는 수지가 유기 용제에 용해된 후 액체 형태로 도포되고 용제가 증발하면서 접합을 형성하는 접착 시스템입니다. 주요 장점은 강한 초기 점착력, 까다로운 기재에 대한 우수한 젖음성, 다공성 및 비다공성 재료 모두에 대한 신뢰성 있는 접합으로, 운송, 신발, 포장, 건설, 가구, 섬유 및 일반 산업 조립 분야에서 중요하게 사용됩니다.
플라스틱 및 관련 재료에서 용제 기반 접착제는 열가소성 플라스틱, 엘라스토머, 폼, 코팅 직물, 라미네이트 및 혼합 재료 조립체를 접합할 수 있다는 점에서 독특한 위치를 차지하며, 이는 순수 수성 또는 핫멜트 시스템으로 접합하기 어려운 경우가 많습니다. 이 기술은 일반적으로 접촉 접착제 및 용제형 폴리우레탄, 아크릴, 클로로프렌, 고무, 니트로셀룰로스 배합과 연관되며, 각각 다른 기재 조합, 경화 속도 및 사용 조건에 맞게 조정됩니다.
이들의 산업적 중요성은 두 가지 상반되는 추세에 의해 형성되었습니다. 한편으로는 용제 기반 시스템이 빠른 사이클 타임, 높은 접합 강도 및 강력한 기재 젖음성이 필수적인 경우 성능 면에서 여전히 가치가 있습니다. 다른 한편으로는 VOC 규제, 인화성 문제, 작업자 노출 요구사항, 그리고 수성, 고형분, 핫멜트, 반응성 무용제 기술과 같은 저배출 대안으로의 전환 압력을 받고 있습니다.
역사 및 개발
용제 기반 접착제는 천연 또는 합성 고무, 수지, 이후 엔지니어링 폴리머를 휘발성 유기 액체에 용해하여 브러시, 스프레이 또는 코팅 가능한 접착제를 만드는 초기 용제 시멘트 및 접촉 접착제 관행에서 발전했습니다. 폴리머 화학이 발전함에 따라 공급업체는 산업 접합에 적합한 폴리클로로프렌, SBR, 폴리우레탄, 아크릴 및 기타 수지 계열로 화학 팔레트를 확장했습니다.
주요 기술적 이정표는 접촉 접착제의 정교화로, 접착제를 한쪽 또는 양쪽 표면에 도포하고 용제를 증발시킨 후 건조 필름을 압력 하에 접합하여 계면에서의 상호 확산 및 응집력 발달을 통해 즉각적인 접합을 형성하는 방식입니다. 이 메커니즘은 빠른 취급 강도가 긴 개방 시간보다 더 중요한 조립 라인 및 라미네이션 공정에 특히 매력적이었습니다.
20세기 후반부터 환경 정책이 배합 선택에 점점 더 영향을 미쳤습니다. 제조업체는 저VOC 용제 시스템, 더 나은 용제 회수 및 하이브리드 배합으로 대응했으며, 수성 접착제와 같은 경쟁 화학물질은 많은 응용 분야를 전환할 수 있을 정도로 개선되었습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 용제 기반 접착제는 까다로운 표면 에너지, 내열성 또는 빠른 그랩이 여전히 사용을 정당화하는 응용 분야에서 여전히 확고한 위치를 유지하고 있습니다.
