चिपकने वाले पदार्थ और गोंद

परिचय

चिपकने वाले पदार्थ और गोंद ऐसे पदार्थ हैं जो दो या अधिक सामग्रियों को सतह के लगाव द्वारा एक साथ रखने के लिए डिज़ाइन किए गए हैं जो अलगाव का विरोध करते हैं। प्लास्टिक निर्माण और डाउनस्ट्रीम रूपांतरण में, वे केवल जोड़ने वाले एजेंट नहीं हैं बल्कि ऐसे सक्षम सामग्री हैं जो पैकेजिंग, निर्माण, ऑटोमोटिव असेंबली, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स, लकड़ी का काम, स्वच्छता उत्पादों और चिकित्सा उपकरणों का समर्थन करते हैं। यह शब्द प्राकृतिक और सिंथेटिक प्रणालियों के एक व्यापक परिवार को कवर करता है, जिसमें गोंद, पेस्ट, सीमेंट, दबाव-संवेदनशील चिपकने वाले, हॉट मेल्ट, एपॉक्सी, पॉलीयूरेथेन, एक्रिलिक और संपर्क चिपकने वाले शामिल हैं।

औद्योगिक प्लास्टिक संदर्भों में, चिपकने वाले महत्वपूर्ण हैं क्योंकि वे असमान सबस्ट्रेट्स को जोड़ने, सहनशीलता को पुल करने, जोड़ों को सील करने, तनाव वितरित करने और हल्के डिज़ाइन का समर्थन करने में मदद करते हैं जहां यांत्रिक फास्टनर अव्यावहारिक हो सकते हैं। उनका प्रदर्शन रसायन विज्ञान और अनुप्रयोग विधि दोनों पर निर्भर करता है, यही कारण है कि चिपकने वाली प्रणालियों को आमतौर पर सबस्ट्रेट प्रकार, इलाज तंत्र, तापमान प्रतिरोध, लचीलापन और नियामक बाधाओं द्वारा चुना जाता है न कि एकल सार्वभौमिक मानक द्वारा। हालिया अनुसंधान और वाणिज्यिक विकास तेजी से जैव-आधारित, पुनर्चक्रण योग्य, स्विचेबल और स्मार्ट चिपकने वाली प्रौद्योगिकियों पर केंद्रित रहे हैं, जो वाष्पशील कार्बनिक यौगिकों को कम करने, अंतिम-जीवन अलग करने में सुधार करने और परिपत्र-अर्थव्यवस्था लक्ष्यों के साथ संरेखित करने के दबाव को दर्शाते हैं।

इतिहास और विकास

प्राकृतिक चिपकने वाले आधुनिक बहुलक रसायन विज्ञान से बहुत पहले के हैं, लकड़ी के काम, पुस्तक बंधन और शिल्प में स्टार्च, पशु गोंद, रेजिन और पौधे के स्राव के ऐतिहासिक उपयोग के साथ। औद्योगिक परिवर्तन सिंथेटिक रेजिन और इलास्टोमर्स के साथ आया, जिसने कई प्राकृतिक प्रणालियों की तुलना में अधिक सुसंगत बंधन शक्ति, जल प्रतिरोध और प्रक्रिया नियंत्रण प्रदान किया। समय के साथ, चिपकने वाली तकनीक थर्मोप्लास्टिक, थर्मोसेटिंग, प्रतिक्रियाशील और दबाव-संवेदनशील प्रणालियों में विविधीकृत हुई, प्रत्येक विभिन्न रूपांतरण और उपयोग स्थितियों के लिए अनुकूलित।

आधुनिक विकास को तीन प्रमुख रुझानों ने आकार दिया है। पहला, उच्च-थ्रूपुट विनिर्माण ने पैकेजिंग और लेबलिंग में तेजी से सेटिंग हॉट मेल्ट और दबाव-संवेदनशील चिपकने की मांग बढ़ाई। दूसरा, परिवहन और निर्माण में संरचनात्मक बंधन ने tougher एपॉक्सी, एक्रिलिक और पॉलीयूरेथेन को प्रोत्साहित किया जो रिवेट्स, स्क्रू और वेल्ड को बदल या पूरक कर सकते हैं। तीसरा, स्थिरता दबावों ने प्रतिवर्ती, जैव-आधारित, कम-उत्सर्जन और पुनर्चक्रण योग्य फॉर्मूलेशन में अनुसंधान को तेज किया है, जिसमें सोयाबीन-प्रोटीन प्रणाली, जैव-आधारित हॉट मेल्ट और स्मार्ट डीबॉन्ड-ऑन-डिमांड अवधारणाएं शामिल हैं।
